blueberry lime sorbet

This recipe is probably not a surprise for those who know me and who know how obsessed I am with blueberries. This sorbet is 98% blueberries and 1.9% lime and 0.1% hemp seeds. THAT'S IT! 

BLUEBERRIES <3 call them superfoods if you want. They are high in fiber, vitaminC, and vitamin K. The best part of them is their high amount of antioxidants, called flavonoids (anthocyanins in particular - gives them the nice blue colour) It fights free radicals and aids brain function, cardiovascular health, and muscle recovery. It has shown to have anti-diabetic effects, though improved insulin sensitivity and lowering of blood sugar levels. 

blueberry lime sorbet (serves 1)

2 cups frozen blueberries

zest and juice of 1 organic lime

(depending on the sweetness of the blueberries you might need 1-2 tbsp honey)

place everything in a high-speed blender and process until smooth 

scrape down the sides of the blender with a spatula and repeat 

serve in a bowl or ice cream cone 

sprinkle some hemp seeds on top 


still love blueberries. still hate mushrooms.
