This oatmeal is another super convenient and delicious breakfast idea. The coffee adds a different flavour and is in good company with chocolate, cinnamon and banana. I went all almonds with almond milk, almond butter and chopped almonds. This oatmeal is an amazing source of nutrients and a great way to start the day. Not to mention, its a huge time saver!
Oat bran, raisins, flax seeds, and sesame seeds are all great sources of fiber. Oat and almonds are high in plant protein. However, if you want to increase the protein content, simply add a dollop of greek yogurt, hemp seeds or a scoop of vanilla protein powder.
quantities for this recipe serve 1 smaller portion, double, triple or quadruple measurements to spoil someone else :)
coffee almond oatmeal (serves 1)
1/2 cup quick oats
1/2 cup unsweetened almond milk
1 pinch cinnamon
1 Tbsp raisins
1 tsp oat bran
1 tsp flax seeds
1 tsp sesame seeds
1 tsp maple syrup
raw almonds, banana, dark chocolate and almond butter to garnish
combine oats, oat bran, cinnamon, raisins, flax seeds, sesame seeds, almond milk, maple syrup and coffee in a jar, close the lid, shake it and put it into the fridge for 4h or overnighte
on the next day, take it out, garnish with 1/2 banana, chopped almonds, a tsp of almond butter and little bit of chopped dark chocolate
