Sesame Matcha Granola

Sneaking “superfood” (I hate that term) ingredients into your daily meals benefits your health and wellbeing. This granola contains Matcha powder, tahini, and sesame seeds. All of them contain high in anti-oxidants and anti-inflammatory compounds. Top the granola with greek yogurt, milk, berries or other fruit and you will GLOW for the rest of the day! 

Matcha is rich in antioxidants, vitamins, and minerals. There is hardly any food that contains such high amounts of antioxidants, which fight free radicals and benefit our health immensely. Another nutrient called L-Theanine makes matcha a superfood. Thanks to the subtle caffeine and the amino acid L-theanine, matcha calms the mind and relaxes the body, it enhances mood and aids concentration. Make sure you purchase a high-quality matcha powder, it will be worth it! 

Tahini and sesame seeds contain a range of nutrients such as the anti-oxidants vitamin E, zinc and more phytochemicals that promote optimal health and fight inflammation. Zink aids the fight of free radicals and is important for our immune system. 


SESAME MATCHA GRANOLA 

1 tbsp tahini

1/3 cup sesame seeds

1/4 cup sesame seeds black

2 cups quick oats

1 pinch salt

1/4 cup honey

1/4 cup coconut oil

1tbsp matcha powder

preheat oven to 180C

combine coconut oil, honey, tahini, salt, and matcha in a small saucepan and melt over low heat, stirring until combined, take off the stove

add dry ingredients and mix to combine

Spread out on baking tray

Bake for around 15-20min until golden and crunchy (stir 1-2 times )
